Castrol Magnatec Diesel combines proven diesel technology with intelligent molecules that adhere and stick to metal surfaces, have the role of remaining on the engine, attracted like a magnet and form an additional protective layer that substantially reduces engine wear, from the moment is turned on.

Castrol Magnatec was specially designed to provide increased protection to the components of modern engines. Tests have shown that 75% of engine wear occurs in the first 10 minutes after starting, until a conventional oil reaches the optimal operating temperature.

Castrol Magnatec oil is totally different from a conventional oil due to the unique properties of its synthetic base, which make the oil adhere to the surface of the engine parts like a magnet. This unique molecular attraction ensures 4 times greater protection compared to a conventional oil, during the entire critical period from start to reaching the optimal operating temperature.

Castrol Magnatec Diesel 10W-40 B4 is suitable for diesel engines where the manufacturer recommends an oil with the specification API SL/CF, ACEA B3/B4 or a lubricant with the previous specification 10W-40.

It is approved for VW Group diesel cars that require a VW 505 00 specification of a 10W-40 lubricant and for Mercedes diesel cars that require a MB 229.1 approval specification of a 10W-40 lubricant.
